NETFLIX HAS RELEASED a first look at its upcoming Pride and Prejudice series, which set to come out later this year.

The six-part show, based on the beloved Jane Austen novel, will star Emma Corrin as Elizabeth Bennet and Jack Lowden as Mr Darcy.

Fans of the novel and its many screen adaptations have been divided over Lowden’s casting, with Vulture commenting that he is “obviously a Bingley” and hard to picture as Mr Darcy. Of course, all will be revealed when the series premieres on the streaming service.

Pride and Prejudice is no stranger to an adaptation, with many to its name. Among the most recent and culturally significant are the 1980 series (starring Elizabeth Garvie and David Rintoul), the 1995 series (starring Jennifer Ehle and Colin Firth) and the 2005 film (starring Keira Knightley and Matthew Macfadyen).

So, today we’re asking: Who has been your favourite Mr Darcy so far?

Poll Results:

Colin Firth (2448)

Matthew Macfadyen (642)

David Rintoul  (121)

Other (let us know in the comments) (86)
