Motorcyclist dead following early morning collision in Wexford

A MAN HAS died following a collision involving a motorcycle in Co Wexford this morning.

The single-vehicle collision occurred shortly after 6.15am on the R738 at Growtown Upper, Barntown, Co. Wexford.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other injuries were reported in the collision.

The local coroner has been notified.

The road remains closed with local diversions in place, as gardaí conduct a forensic examination.

Gardaí have appealed for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.
