GARDAÍ HAVE LAUNCHED an investigation into a hit-and-run in County Kerry that has left a pedestrian in a serious condition in hospital.
The incident, which happened near Ardfert and Abbeydorney, is understood to have occurred last night at approximately 9pm.

It is believed gardaí are looking for the driver of a car that struck the man and left the scene.
The road is sealed off for a forensic examination and gardaí are understood to be speaking to witnesses.
A statement has been requested from An Garda Síochána.
