Man arrested over false imprisonment of a woman in Kerry

A man has been arrested as part of an investigation into the alleged false imprisonment of a woman in Listowel, Co Kerry.

The incident happened in a vehicle on Clieveragh Road at around 3.20am.

The man, who is in his 20s, is being held at a garda station in the southern region.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses and ask anyone who was travelling on the R552 Clieveragh Road between 2am and 4am and who may have camera footage to contact them.

Gardaí say they are particularly interested in the movements of a white Audi A4 saloon during this period.
