Bodies of child and man found at house in Dublin

Gardaí (Irish police) are investigating after the bodies of a girl and a man were found at a house in Dublin on Saturday.

Emergency services were called to the Heathfield housing estate in Finglas shortly before 20:00 local time (20:00 BST).

Irish broadcaster RTÉ is reporting that police believe they are a parent and a girl, who may be as young as six years old.

The scene has been preserved, the coroner has been notified and a state pathologist has been called in.
