In the opening round of the German Masters at Berlin’s Tempodrom, you saw Mark Allen secure a 5-3 victory over Oliver Lines. Allen delivered a strong performance with impressive breaks of 58, 59, 61, 74, and 99, showcasing his control throughout the match. He now moves on to face Gao Yang in the next round.

You’ll also notice fellow Northern Irishman Jordan Brown advancing, though under less conventional circumstances. Scheduled to face China’s Wu Yize, Brown received a walkover after Wu was forced to withdraw due to illness. Brown will next play Welsh competitor Jak Jones.

In other action, recent Masters champion Kyren Wilson maintained his momentum with a confident 5-1 win over Robert Milkins. Shaun Murphy, a former world champion, also progressed to the next round after defeating Zak Surety 5-2, adding to the lineup of strong contenders.
